Paddlefest is one of our favourite weekends of the year. A cozy, community-centred festival and celebration of music, art, the outdoors—it takes place in the charming seaside village of St. Andrews by-the-Sea, which is a big draw itself! All-in-all, it’s a fantastic way to kick off sunshine season.

A few of our staff at Duke have been going to this event—usually held over the May long weekend—for 10 years. The festival itself has been happening for almost 30.

This year, Duke has joined the Paddlefest team as a Presenting Partner. This sponsorship is important to us, not just because we love the festival, but because it’s giving back to our community in a way that feels meaningful to us. We know the importance of showcasing local music, and community-building events like Paddlefest are top of mind for us as we emerge from the isolating fog that was the pandemic. We can’t wait to take in the music (so much music!), live art and installations, kayaking and canoeing, the 19km wharf-to-wharf trail run, kids’ events, hiking, yoga, beach clean ups, environmental presentations, food vendors, craft beer, craft market, and more!

To mark the occasion, we’re giving away 2 ultimate weekend passes (access to all venues!) and a one-night stay (on May 19 - hello Ria Mae!) at the Algonquin Resort. Head on over to our Instagram @dukecreativecollective to enter and stay tuned for more Paddlefest content.
