Why you should be buying cinema ads for your clients
I grew up going to the movies once or twice a week.
I have so many wonderful memories of going to the movies.
You could argue with me all day long about how cinema is dead - it is slowly crawling back.
Event cinema is still a thing - I mean, we all remember Barbenheimer.
Stuff is happening. Hollywood's not giving up the ghost yet.
I would like to tell you a story about how we recently ran an ad in cinema.
In our town, there's only one big movie theater. So if I'm going to buy an ad, a cinema ad - 30 seconds, 15 seconds right before a movie, I only have to buy them for one theater.
And so that makes it a really cost effective buy, because you have this glorious movie screen-sized version of your ad, you have a captive audience, awesome audio, and they're all just sitting there waiting for their movie.
It's kind of awesome and it's super cheap.
So if you can pick the right movie and the right couple of weeks, you can get kind of nice bang for your buck.
So I think cinema is a great media buy to be making in 2025.
