Four ways to get more mileage out of your marketing investment

Above: some event signage we created for the Department of Tourism Heritage and Culture in 2020, getting some solid re-use and even repurposing as a vehicle wrap, shown off at Uptown Sparkles in 2021.

Good marketing has long-term value. Just think about some of the commercials you’ve seen year after year. (It’s Patrick, he took out life insurance!)

Below we’ve got four suggestions that will help you get more mileage out of your best marketing tools. Some of these you’ll be able to do yourself, and others you’ll need to ask your agency to help with – but they’re all quicker and cheaper than reinventing the wheel. Plus they’re already tried-and-tested with your target audience!

Signage:

  • Create some event signage that isn’t specific to the event and has brand value. That way you can re-use these items any time you’re mingling with your customers.

  • Take large-scale signage graphics and use them again as vehicle wraps.

Video content:

  • Dive back into your b-roll and see what gems are there that you missed the first time.

  • Cut longer videos down to 30s or 15s.

Ad content:

  • Pick your best performing ads and run them again next month, next quarter, and maybe even next year. Using consistent creative in your ad flights builds recall, and recall increases conversions.

Infographics:

  • Disassemble infographics and use each component as graphics for explainer social posts.
