GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Job Description

The Graphic Designer plays an important role at Duke Creative Collective.

We are an independent creative consultancy and marketing agency based in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada.

We specialize in building three things for clients of all kinds: authentic brands, strategic campaigns and memorable experiences.

Because we’re an ever-evolving workplace, your job (all of our jobs, really) will change but here’s what you can expect:

You take the lead on:

  • Developing design concepts/look and feel approaches for client work.

  • Ensuring creative deliverables are completed on schedule and with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Design and layout/production of a wide variety of materials for print and digital media.

  • Prioritizing and managing multiple projects within design specifications, budget restrictions and timelines.

  • Diligently managing version control during edit rounds.

  • Archiving complete design files once projects are complete.

  • Liaising with suppliers and partners.

  • Juggling a variety of projects at once.

You support the team by: 

  • Participating in essential quality control processes.

  • Communicating effectively with the account team on client deliverables.

  • Working collaboratively with other members of the creative team.

 

You’re a lifelong learner:

You update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

You’re constantly evaluating design wherever you go and looking for inspiration and creativity.

Requirements: 

  • Degree or equivalent in graphic design, industrial design, or interior design, or equivalent experience.

  • 1-2 years, or equivalent experience in graphic design.

  • Highly organized, with a great attention to detail.

  • A creative thinker and problem solver.

  • A good communicator.

  • Expert in the MAC environment.

  • Expert at Adobe Creative Suite products, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign but ideally others as well.

  • Hungry to learn new skills like video editing, website development, photography, etc.

  • Comfortable raising a hand to ask questions and ask for support if needed.

 

Additional “nice to have” assets:

Digital specialist with expertise in animation and web development

ACCOUNT COORDINATOR

Job Description

The Account Coordinator plays an important role at Duke Creative Collective.

We are an independent creative consultancy and marketing agency based in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada.

We specialize in building three things for clients of all kinds: authentic brands, strategic campaigns and memorable experiences.

Our award-winning work is disruptive, human and memorable.

That’s because we’re original thinkers - inventors, questioners, energizers, and all-round idea machines with an unquenchable desire to make things happen.

Because we’re an ever-evolving workplace, your job (all our jobs, really) will be different every day but here’s what you can expect:

You take the lead on:

Providing genuine customer care and ensuring client success through:

  • providing proactive and timely client outreach, updates, and touch-bases.

  • clearly communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

Taking ownership of your projects using solid project management skills to:

  • coordinate and conduct effective meetings.

  • accurately describe and scope deliverables.

  • manage approvals.

  • track budget and well as timelines.

  • liaise with creative team to ensure that projects are running smoothly

You support the team by: 

  • Advocating internally for your clients, ensuring their projects move forward and achieve desired objectives.

  • Contributing to campaign planning and strategy development for client projects.

  • Conducting research in support of client requirements.

  • Creating meeting schedules and agendas & follow up with meeting minutes for the team and clients.

  • Providing recommendations on how to improve ongoing campaigns, projects and processes within the agency.

  • Participating in essential quality control processes.

  • Working collaboratively with other members of the account team.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an agency or in an equivalent marketing, sales or customer-facing role.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience delivering solutions based on customer needs.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, while paying strict attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills.

  • A love-affair with social media and all things design.

  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a dynamic, results-driven environment.

  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative and self-starting capabilities.

  • Expert at Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Additional “nice to have” assets:

Bilingual (French and English).
