ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Job Description

The Account Director is a critical role at Duke Creative Collective – one that requires leadership, strategic thinking, accountability, business acumen and vision with respect to developing our agency’s portfolio of business.

Reporting to the President, the Account Director will effectively leverage their experience, knowledge, and skills to foster an original thinking mindset throughout the organization, meet revenue targets, and support account team development.

The Account Director will balance company and team needs while maximizing return on investment for each of our clients.

You will take the lead on:

· Managing and delivering on all aspects of client business, providing superior customer service while identifying future business opportunities.

· Strategy development and tactical planning for a wide variety of clients.

· Delegating tasks across the account team, and managing utilization and workload related to all project deliverables, resolving competing priorities along the way.

· Capturing and reporting results to our clients.

· Developing strong relationships with multiple senior client stakeholders.

· Stewarding relationships with agency partners and suppliers.

· Keeping abreast of industry news and trends.

You support the leadership team by:

· Modelling leadership and helping to foster a creative and collaborative workplace culture.

· Mentoring the account team to maximize individuals’ growth, and harness the strengths and opportunities of each team member.

· Identifying process refinements and opportunities to improve efficiency.

· Actively participating in business development.

· Actively participating in professional development planning for the account team.

· Playing a leadership role in our quality assurance and quality control processes.

· Clearly communicating client requirements, evaluating creative deliverables, and efficiently managing the edit process.

· Identifying brand building opportunities for the agency.

· Sharing credit and shouldering responsibility for resolving difficulties.

· You’re constantly evaluating the customer experience wherever you go.

Requirements:

· 12+ years’ creative or digital agency experience (or equivalent client-side experience), with a track-record of client success.

· Progressively senior roles.

· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, in related field of study.

· Experience working in a service-oriented environment.

· Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

· Ability to effectively connect with clients at all levels of seniority.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, problem-solve under pressure, and pay strict attention to detail and deadlines.

· Spectacular writing skills.

· Deep understanding of the evolving digital environment.

· Well versed in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.

· A love of good grammar.

· Finicky about spelling.

· Expert at brand development and marketing/communications plan creation.

· Self-motivated and able to thrive in a low-supervision, results-driven environment.

· Natural relationship-builder with integrity, reliability and maturity.

· Expert at Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional “nice to have” assets:

· Bilingual (French and English).

· Experienced project manager.

· Track record of involvement in your community.
