20 things we were grateful for in 2020

There truly was a lot to feel poorly about in 2020. Our hearts go out to those who lost loved ones, or who suffered and are still suffering from the effects of COVID-19. That being said, we want to use this space to focus on the positive, so we can leave this year feeling hopeful for the next. Here are 20 things we were thankful for in 2020.

  1. Living in New Brunswick.

  2. Dr. Jennifer Russell.

  3. The Atlantic Bubble - for as long as it lasted.

  4. The ability to work from home.

  5. Cloud storage.

  6. Supportive and creative clients.

  7. Two new Duke babies!

  8. Four amazing new additions to our team (Kâté, Holly, Taylor and Liz!)

  9. The most successful #GiveLoveFeelGood campaign to date, with the help of Moosehead Breweries, the City of Saint John, the Saint John Police Force, and Innovatia.

  10. Extra doses of volunteerism at BCAPI and Rise Up SJ.

  11. Three wonderful UNB students plus Janet Scott, Mirko Crevatin, Leslie Magee, Rise Up SJ, The Human Development Council, Brilliant Labs, UNB, NBCC, BCAPI, Bell Aliant and CISCO joined us to work at closing the Digital Divide - a pilot project to bring free WiFi to priority neighbourhoods (more to come on that!)

  12. Amazing talks with post-secondary institutions, government and industry associations about moving our industry forward post-COVID, and narrowing New Brunswick’s provincial trade deficit for advertising and public relations (more to come on that one too!)

  13. The ExploreNB travel incentive program (20% tourism rebate) - we know it played an important part in keeping our favourite things to do/places to eat afloat this year.

  14. Everyone discovering/rediscovering the Fundy Trail Parkway this summer.

  15. Spending more time with our tiny bubble people.

  16. Bread making.

  17. Fresh vegetables from our respective victory gardens.

  18. Love for local.

  19. Accelerated innovation, and a “why-don’t-we…” mindset.

  20. And…Netflix.

Enjoy the holiday season with you and yours! We look forward to seeing you all in person in the new year. 😊
