BREWING UP SOME HISTORY
CASK & KETTLE BREWING COMPANY
In 2019 our friends at Cask & Kettle Gastropub asked us to help them with a logo for a new venture: a microbrewery.
We developed a sub-brand for the new brewery that leveraged their existing identity, and created a series of beer labels for their new product offerings.
The labels each featured a character attached to the history of their flagship location on Prince Willam Street – the architect who designed the building (John Dunn), a visitor to the hotel that once occupied the space (Lady Aberdeen), a turn-of-the-last-century purveyor of beer and spirits (Mickey Finn), as well as a tough local lawyer and his friendly alter-ego (Slippery Bill/Sweet William).
RESULTS
As each beer was introduced in the restaurant we rolled out an introduction poster and social media post telling the story of its namesake. The brews each created a lot of social media engagement for the restaurant.
In fact, when the owners opened a new location, they decorated it using large posters of the beer labels.
